Hope Vision 2
Beautifully machined from aluminium billet, this tiny light packs a big punch with its twin high power LED’s pushing out 480 lumens. The small Li-Ion battery pack is now held in a custom made durable plastic case. The battery has built-in charge, discharge and short circuit protection. The connectors are fully sealed and totally waterproof (IP67). The single switch has a new cycle programme, which turns the light on in ‘low’ mode and cycles through to the higher settings.
In tests the 7.4v Li-ion battery will last for up to 30 hrs + on low and a minimum of 2 hrs on the high setting with the intelligent charger returning that in just 3 hours. The durable plastic case is small enough to fit under stems, top tube junctions or slip into a jersey pocket.
The 2 LED model utilises ‘thermal throttling’ techniques to increase the longevity of the LEDs and prevent damage to the electrical circuit due to overheating. This works by monitoring the temperature of the Aluminium heat sink and restricting the power when it reaches a critical level, thereby keeping the casing at an acceptable temperature for handling while providing extended battery burn times.


Hope District
The NEW District 3 rear safety light is bright! Now that may sound like an obvious statement - but until you’ve seen one of these on, in the dark - amongst other lights, reflectives and distractions you won’t quite believe it!
The light came about as a result of the many poor quality rear lights we made our way through during a wet and harsh winter of commuting and night riding. We wanted something that could withstand the harshness of the weather, be ultra visible on our daily commutes as well as work reliably every time we switch it on and stay put on the bike longer than a couple of rides!
So, the District (Red light... get it?!) was born. We’ve tested it extensively over the last 18 months and have found it to tick every box on the list. The most obvious thing came from those commuting - come rain or shine (and much like a bright front light that we are now all accustomed to did when it was first released a few years ago) this powerful tail light really makes drivers of vehicles and other road users so much more aware that you are there. You are given a wider birth when overtaken. Not pushed along in traffic.
The 5 function output takes minimal power from the battery, only affecting burn times by 6-20 minutes depending on mode used.
The neat QR bayonet fixing securely attaches the lamp to the mount (we’ve yet to lose one!) and is quick release enough to allow speedy removal from the bike when leaving it alone. Whether you use the light on the road, or off the road - you’re sure to be safe in the knowledge that you’re doing as much as you can to stay visible from behind and fighting back against ‘close calls’ from impatient motorists and other road users...
